Native Cultures
Tribute to a lasting heritage:
The Native American community has a rich and honored heritage, customs, and traditions. The history of America is the history of not only the Europeans but of all the indigenous peoples whose lives, cultures, lands, and societies were torn apart in a cataclysmic upheaval that even continues today. But against all odds of extermination by the New Americans, the native peoples have not only survived the onslaught, but have maintained their steadfastness to whom they are as people of this land.
I'm posting for viewing only in this gallery so that others can appreciate the richness of Native American culture.
I encourage non natives to attend events open to the public such as pow wows and native arts fairs to learn and appreciate more about Americas indigenous people. For further information see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pow_wow
I post these photos in respect. Any person who is depicted here may request the removal of their photo by contacting me at grclark888@gmail.com.
